an omen?

So far the Leafs' preseason is off to a mediocre start. They have split two games in two nights with the Coyotes and haven't played particularly well in either one. What I am worried about is that Toskala's first start in a Leafs uniform resulted in him giving up a soft goal on the first shot he faced. Is this a sign of things to come with the Leafs this season? Is this an omen? We shall see...

From James Mirtle of the Globe and Mail ...

"In case you missed it, the sky is, in fact, falling in Toronto. Toskala was lit up like a Christmas tree when Buffalo cruised through here on Wednesday night, and has been soundly roasted in the local fishwrap for both performances in preseason so far. His GAA is a solid 5.04 and the team's playoff hopes — as well as the GM's future employment — pretty much rest with him. No pressure".

Looking forward to another great season, buddy ...!
