How can you launch 44 shots at a goalie (compared with Boston's 21, might I add) and still manage to get shut out 3-0?? Needless to say I am very disturbed by tonight's result, especially since the Canadiens actually won another game (a rarity these days), downing Washington 5-3. I was working on a paper and monitoring the game online and it seemed like the Leafs were controlling the majority of the play, but they couldn't put the puck in the net. I am sure that Tim Thomas played a great game if he stoned the Leafs 44 times!! A very discouraging night.
With that loss, the Leafs drop into a tie for ninth place, one point back of the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Thursday sees the Leafs take on the Islanders in New York (away from the ACC where their record is a dismal 12-13-5) before heading to Philly to tangle with the Flyers on Saturday night. Road games are normally good for the Buds and let's hope the next couple games are no exception!
BRUTAL!! That's the final word on tonight from me...

Weird no one is posting on here, must not be that many leaf ( or Hockey fans for that matter ) around .
Anyway all I can say Matt is this, the leafs are out of hope this year I really hate to say it , but they don't stand a chance making the playoffs.. And even if they do I doubt they would get by in the first round ..
But I am happy to report that my Canuckers are on fire, they beat the Ducks last night with there back in neat.. And they will make the playoffs mark my words ..
