ode to one good game
I realize that in the grand scheme of things this season it matters very little, but there was no end to the satisfaction I garnered from watching my lowly Maple Leafs convincingly knock off the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night. It was one of the best birthday presents I could have had. One of the best things about it was that the call-ups and grinders shone and really made the difference. It's almost hilarious to type this, but the Leafs dominated the Sens almost from the get-go and deserved the 4-2 victory. I don't predict that this kind of excellent play is going to last long, but it was nice that for the first full game I have had time to watch the boys played inspired hockey!
