Kaberle comes up big

Tomas Kaberle's effortless win in the Most Accurate Shot contest at the All-Star Superskills Competition was the only thing that the Leafs will get anywhere close to winning this season. He was magnificent, hitting eight of nine targets, including a perfect four-for-four in the opening round. I will stand by what I've always said: TK is definitely one of the most underrated players in the NHL and, along with Mats Sundin, is one of the lone bright spots for the Leafs this year.

In general, the rest of the Superskills competition was pretty lame and seemed very disorganized. Ditch the Young Stars Game (a bunch of loafers trying to make every goal a piece of art--blech!) and return the Fastest Skater competition to its old 'round the rink' format. The last round, the Breakaway Competition, was a travesty--one of the stupidest things that Bettman and his dumbass cronies have come up with yet. I hope that 2009 is better....
