cardiac arrest

Once again, the Leafs had me pretty nervous last night with their COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY trip to overtime in order to beat the lowly Flyers, 3-2. Bryan McCabe, despite his overtime heroics, once again proved why he is the biggest goat in the NHL, as well as the most overpaid. I have never seen a defenceman make as many defensive errors as McCabe--it's bloody BRUTAL!

Raycroft played decently, White and Gill were great, and Sundin continued to hit goalposts like some kind of deranged archer. His scoreless streak is up to ten games now, though he is still doing all the other things necessary for the team to win. The Buds must win their final two games, against the Islanders and the Canadiens on Saturday night (Hockey Night in Canada! It's gonna be crazy!), if they want to make the post-season. For my money, it's all going to come down to Saturday night against the Canadiens to see which of the two goes on to playoffs. I am really tense about it all, but it has the potential to be very exciting. Toronto is going to have to play like desperate men and do whatever it takes to win these two games!
