the real honest look
This post on Leaf blogger Mike Ulmer's page is a pretty darn good assessment of the great job that Ron Wilson has done with the team since taking the reins from Paul Maurice. There is no sugar-coating with Ulmer (thankfully), but some optimism and a really thorough assessment of what Wilson has had to work with and what he's done with that raw material. I must congratulate Wilson for actually getting some good and entertaining hockey out of this Toronto team this year--it's been easily the most entertaining Leafs team in at least a decade, if not more. They often stink and the defence and goaltending has been mostly atrocious, but they are a lot more enjoyable to watch than the Muskoka Five-era teams! Building toward the future...
