The Leafs' playoff push was essentially halted by the their 6-2 thumping at the hands of the Boston Bruins last night. I feel bad for them because they have been playing frantic playoff-like hockey for the last number of weeks and managed to come up with some miraculous wins, some of which were even more impressive because they didn't have their two leading scorers, Mats Sundin and Nik Antropov, in the lineup. It seems like the boys finally just ran out of gas and the wheels came off last night as they were soundly beating by a Boston Bruins team who were four points (now six) ahead of them and are now holding down the eighth and final playoff spot in the East.
My head is already thinking about the off-season and the moves that must be made in order to make this team competitive and how the organization might finally shed its label as the laughing stock of the league. It should be interesting...

... don't the Beantowners and Leafs go at it again tonight? maybe if TO can win this one you and AJR will still be on speaking terms? I hope so.
