Leafs blank Caps 3-0

I am going to be brief here because I have a lot of work to do before I go to bed.

The Leafs shut out the Washington Capitals 3-0 tonight--not even ole Alexander Ovechkin, last year's Calder Trophy winner, could put on past Rayzor, who got his second shutout of the year. A solid performance for the Leafs, which gave them possession of eighth place in the Eastern Conference playoff race, tied with Carolina, but getting the playoff spot because they have played one less game. The Buds face the Sens (this could get ugly!) in Ottawa on Thursday and again at the ACC on Saturday for a Hockey Night in Canada showdown. In order to hold on to eighth they need to stick it to the Senators, big time! I am just crossing my fingers...
